Writing and Public in Late Medieval Transylvania.
Selected Evidence of Monumental Writing and its Meaning

Abstract:
The paper aims to analyze a few examples of Transylvanian late medieval and Renaissance inscriptions from the point of view of the relation between monuments (and art objects) and public. It inquires on the value-added of the inscriptions to the art objects.
